This is a great sauce that is so versatile! Just about everyone in the Middle East has their own version of this but the bas is the same. I use this to make hummus, over baked fish, with grilled meats...just about anything. You can add fresh garlic, the woman that taught me hated garlic so out of tribute to Shuli, I don't put it in mine. It is NOT no-carb but VERY low in carbs.

Servings 4-6 Steps 2

ingredients

1 cup sesame paste

½ lemon juice

½ +/- COLD water

½ tsp cumin

½ tsp coriander

1 tsp ground zaatar

directions

1. In a metal bowl combine the sesame paste and lemon juice and whisk in the cold water a little at a time until it becomes the consistency of a semi-watery sauce

2. Add the spices and mix
