Citrus, Chili and Honey Grilled Chicken

A great friend gave me a bag of mixed citrus fruit (thanks Helen). It inspired me to make a really flavorful grilled chicken dish that is so easy and so healthy!!!

4 servings Steps 3
ingredients
2 – 3 pounds chicken (I like thighs for this)
2 lemons juiced
2 oranges juiced
2 limes juiced
2 blood oranges juiced
1 pink grapefruit juiced
3 tbl honey
3 cloves of garlic smashed
1 – 3 tsp dry California Chili or a good quality smoked chili
1 pinch kosher salt
directions
1. Combine all of the ingredients except the chicken in a mixing bowl and whisk well
2. Add the chicken and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 to 4 hours (overnight is best)
3. Heat your grill (BBQ or grill pan) and slowly grill the chicken. Baste it often with the marinade.
I like to slice a few lemons and oranges and grill them as well…makes for a nice garnish!
