This salsa (sauce) is SO EASY and SO DELICIOUS!! Why use a store bought can when you can make it in like 15 minutes with just a few ingredients. Turn up the heat with more chili or turn it off all togehter.
This is great for just about anything Mexican (or not). I love it on stuffed chilis, on eggs in the morning and a ton of other things. It is a go to Mexican stapel sauce

Servings 4-6 Steps 2
ingredients
1 16 oz can of tomato sauce
1 can of water (same can as above)
1-3 dried poblano chilis ground
1 tsp cornstarch
1/3 cup oil
2 – 4 tsp ground California Chili
2 tsp ground cumin
directions
1. In a pot, over medium heat, heat the oil and add the cornstarch and cumin and whisk
2. Add the ground poblanos, tomato sauce and water, mix, reduce the heat and let cook for about 10 to 15 minutes. Taste and add more chili as needed
